Patio Furniture vs. Winter Boots

My flowers are probably looking fantastic, only I wouldn't know, because I can't see them! Day four of "latest spring snowstorm in decades" brought even more snow today. It is supposed to be done by tomorrow morning. We're glad we didn't take the winter tires off the car already!

Kona demonstrates how to squint to keep blowing snow out of your eyes:

The dry-stack rock-wall raised beds still protrude from the snow drifts:

To the rest of the bloggers in Canada-land, keep those flower pictures coming!

Old man winter has certainly overstayed his welcome!

Oh, I'm so sorry for you ... I won't complain one little bit about the little bit of snow we got!

You must be sick of the sight of snow - but I must say your dog looks very at home in it.

I should load up the truck and bring you some Spring weather. Now I know why I don't move farther north.

Spring is in full bloom here. Temps have been in the 70s for the last two weeks but next week we should go back to the normal 50s.

The only problem with the nice weather is blogging time is hard to find. Hope you have the same problem soon.

All I can say is I wish you happy, sunny gardening days....soon! so, I must admit, the snow garden looks pretty too!

Just a quick addition to my earlier post.
I've left an award for you on my blog.

These late snowstorms are so frustrating, aren't they? We had a light skiffing of snow on Thursday night, but nothing too much. It's April. I blame many woes on April. Better days are a-comin, though.

I just moved to Air Ronge. When is the last frost free day up here?

Hello to new La Ronge gardener: I assume you want to know the last frost day? I would not plant out before June 5. Don't be tempted to plant out sooner, but you can start hardening plants off outside.

Easygardener - thanks! I'm heading over to your blog.

I like the way your rock wall lends structure and definition to the garden under the snow. Our last snow piles in Edmonton are just about gone. I hope your garden is thawing out too now. Are your bulbs back on track? I've been adding even more of the earliest spring bulbs because they seem to lift the spirits the most, even though they take the greatest risk.
